TEA LEAF SALAD (Lahpet Thohk)
What's in your kit:
50G PICKLED TEA LEAVES
50G DOUBLE FRIED BEANS
2 TBSP GARLIC OIL
What you need at home:
2 MEDIUM SIZED TOMATOES
¼ WHITE CABBAGE
1 TBSP DRIED SHRIMPS (OPT.)
1 GARLIC CLOVE
1 BIRD’S EYE CHILLI
DASH OF FISH SAUCE TO TASTE
(CAN BE REPLACED WITH SALT)
¼ LIME
TOASTED SESAME SEEDS
Preparation:
1) Finely slice the tomatoes, garlic & chilli
2) Finely shred the cabbage
3) Add to a mixing bowl with the pickled tea , double fried beans and dried shrimps
4) Dress with the garlic oil, fish sauce and juice of the lime
5) Mix well & portion
6) Garnish with sesame seeds
7) Enjoy!
